Unreined is an American whiskey brand based at Wildhorse Ranch, a 600-acre working bison and cattle ranch just south of College Station, Texas. The team includes whiskey industry veterans with experience across Kentucky and Texas in distilling, aging, and blending. Unreined works with multiple distilleries to source straight bourbon whiskeys selected specifically for how they will mature in the Texas climate. Those whiskeys are aged and blended to create specific flavor profiles rather than following one fixed blending recipe. The brand’s flagship Four Grain Bourbon is a six-year age-stated blend of Kentucky and Texas straight bourbons made with corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. The flagship expression is bottled at 95 proof and non-chill filtered. Unreined also produces a Full Proof expression at 118 proof.

Founding Story
Unreined was created by a team of whiskey industry veterans with decades of experience working with distilleries in Kentucky and Texas. The brand was built around sourcing and blending rather than being tied to whiskey from a single distillery.
For the flagship Four Grain Bourbon, the team combines four different straight bourbon whiskeys. The blend includes a low-rye Kentucky bourbon, two wheated bourbons from Kentucky and Texas, and a high-corn Kentucky bourbon. Each component serves a different purpose in the finished whiskey, adding rye spice, fruit, dessert notes, sweetness, and structure.
Rather than maintaining one exact blending recipe from batch to batch, the team blends toward a consistent flavor profile. The whiskey is aged in a humid subtropical environment in Texas before being blended and bottled.
Wildhorse Ranch is now the physical home of Unreined. The property includes the brand’s rickhouse and bottling facility, with whiskey aging, blending, and bottling taking place on the 600-acre working cattle and bison ranch.
