Tequila Alderete is a family-owned tequila brand created by third-generation farmers with more than 75 years of agricultural history. The brand uses agave from the Jalisco Highlands and focuses on allowing the natural characteristics of the agave and the land where it is grown to come through in the finished tequila. The portfolio includes a Blanco with citrus and agave character, a Reposado rested for six months in oak, and an Añejo aged for 27 months in oak. Across the portfolio, the brand emphasizes bright floral notes, citrus aromas, and the characteristics associated with Highland agave.

Founding Story
The Alderete family has been involved in agriculture for more than 75 years. Jesus Alderete left Jalisco for California’s Central Coast, where he built his career farming among the region’s fields, vineyards, and orchards. That agricultural background and the family’s approach to working with the land became the foundation for Tequila Alderete.
Today, the third generation of the family is applying that experience to tequila, intentionally growing agave to highlight the characteristics of the Jalisco Highlands. The brand’s approach is centered around the quality of the agriculture and allowing the agave to retain the flavors and characteristics of where it was grown.

The Alderete family’s agricultural history began more than 75 years ago with Jesus Alderete, who left Jalisco and settled on California’s Central Coast. He worked throughout the region’s fields, vineyards, and orchards and developed a farming philosophy focused on understanding the land and allowing what was grown there to reflect its natural characteristics.
That experience has now continued through three generations of the family. Tequila Alderete brings that agricultural background back to Jalisco through the family’s work with Highland agave and tequila.
